Liverpool’s Juice FM signs up to Hit 40 UK
01.03.2004 NTL Awards 2003 Station of the Year to take Britain’s biggest chart show!
From Sunday 8th February, 107.6 Juice FM - Liverpool will broadcast the nation’s favourite chart show, Hit 40 UK with Woolworths – as presented every Sunday from 4-7pm by Britain’s top radio DJ and Pop Idol judge, Neil Fox.
Covering the entire Merseyside area, Juice FM is the NTL Commercial Radio “Station of the Year - 2003” and boasts a weekly audience of almost 200,000 listeners (adults 4+). Part of the Absolute Radio Group, Juice has been particularly successful in appealing to Liverpool’s 15-24 year olds and its addition to the Hit 40 UK broadcasting roster strongly reinforces the programme’s status as the UK’s most listened to Top 40 countdown.
Neil Fox, Hit 40 UK presenter, commented: “I’m dead chuffed to be back on-air in Liverpool. Some of the world's greatest pop music has come out of this great city and it’s about time that Merseyside can once again tune into the UK's biggest and best countdown, Hit 40 UK!”
Clive Dickens, Group Director of Programming for Absolute Radio, said: “We're delighted to be bringing back the market leading Hit 40 UK to Liverpool. As the fastest growing radio station in the UK (Source Rajar), the show will form a essential part of our new weekend schedule across 2004. All in all, it’s the only choice we could have made for Juice FM."
