Brits Exclusive for Juice - Liverpool
01.02.2004 107.6 Juice FM is proud to announce that it has secured exclusive Liverpool territorial rights for the Brit Awards 2004, to be held on February 17th at Earls Court, London. The Brits is Europe’s biggest music awards show with the most stars and excitement, not to mention guaranteed jaw-dropping controversy.
Juice Liverpool will be right in the heart of the action with exclusive announcements, interviews, and live broadcasts from the ceremony.
Juice Liverpool Programme Director Grainne Landowski said
‘We’re sending listeners on VIP trips to the show, we’re going backstage with the performers, and we’re playing out performances live from the ceremony – you think I’m going to let other stations in Liverpool do the same? Are you joking? I’m not that stupid.’
AR-UK Director Clive Dickens added
‘Despite celebrating home-grown talent the Brits really is an international event, so this is a great opportunity to get together with the other radio stations Absolute works with in Ireland and across Europe. And of course we’re delighted to be the only station in Liverpool with official association to the Brits.’
Teaming up with the UK’s biggest radio production house Somethin’ Else Juice Liverpool will be the first to announce who’s nominated for what exclusively in the Breakfast show on Monday 12th January, as well as airing pre-show build-up, interviews with nominated artists, and backstage chats with performers. And as well as winning trips to the Brits, Juice listeners will have a vested interest in the category of Best British Single as the outcome will be decided by their votes.
Steve Ackerman, Director at Somethin’ Else said…
The Brits is the UK’s biggest night of pop and we’re delighted that Juice Liverpool is playing a major part in the build up and the night itself. This year we’re sure to see one of the most exciting shows ever, so it’s brilliant that Juice’s listeners will be right in the thick of the action
