JUICE 107.6 – Liverpool -“We must be the last youth station in the UK to stream!”
01.12.2003 Fresh on the heels of the Sinclair C5, the Millennium Dome, and Busted comes the latest in a series of ‘What’s The Point of That?’– Juice FM – UK Radio station of the year - Live Streaming online at www.juicefm.com.
Our new owner, AR-UK has decided to make its mark by spending a lot of time and energy on a big fat white elephant. What they don’t realise of course is that had they actually spent the money on a real big fat white elephant people might have been more interested.
However, thanks to some incredibly over-priced engineering your favourite Juice has now been squeezed online, so you can listen to Juice 107.6 - Liverpool wherever you are: at work in the office when you should be working, at home online looking at porn, or even when you’re abroad on holiday and just want a reminder of home (saddo!).
Juice 107.6 Programme Director Grainne Landowski says:
“It’s absolutely brilliant, now PDs all over the country can listen to my great presenters from the comfort of their own office before picking up the phone to offer them a gig. Which ape thought of this?”
Absolute Radio Programme Director Clive Dickens says:
“Sorry, it was my idea! But streaming Juice 107.6 for the first time is all about making the brand available on as many platforms as possible across the next couple of years. The way consumers use Radio is changing and we’ve got some catching up to do in this area.”
So, remember the big month and year: November 2003 - it’s when Juice (eventually) went live on the Internet. From now on, wherever you go, Juice is just a click away. (www.juicefm.com)
