JACK fm Oxfordshire introduces

pre-launch website and blog

Absolute Radio International (ARI) today announced that its most recent venture, 106 JACK fm Oxfordshire, took a step closer to launch with the creation of a new pre launch website & blog at www.jackfm.co.uk.

106 JACK fm Oxfordshire will be the first Variety Hits station outside of North America and will complement the existing local Oxfordshire commercial radio services, namely Oxford’s FM107.9 (also owned by ARI) and FOX FM.

Clive Dickens comments “The pre-launch website and blog has been designed primarily to allow the people of Oxfordshire to shape the sound and feel of the station ahead of its launch. The full website will go live later this summer and will feature local and compelling Web 2.0 content, the likes of which has not been seen in UK radio before.”

ARI also hopes to bring the new and innovative JACK format to other regions of the UK via DAB and is a partner in several current Ofcom applications in Herts, Beds & Bucks and North Cheshire, with Northants & Oxfordshire still to come.
